Dr. Minati Acharya, OD

OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Acharya grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry at the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas. While in Optometry School, she was one of just six recipients out of 64 students to receive the Gold Key International Optometric award for leadership and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society for her outstanding academic achievements.

She is passionate about helping patients improve their vision and quality of life. Dr. Acharya has extensive experience across multiple areas of Optometry. She has worked in high volume private practices, at one of the leading refractive surgery Ophthalmology practices in the country, Lighthouse for the Blind, Veterans Hospital, Community Health Centers and teaching institutions. These varied settings have given her a breadth of knowledge and experience in helping a diverse group of patients, ranging from treating and managing disease, low vision, specialty contact lenses, pediatrics, geriatrics and refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK).

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, swimming and dancing.
